Discriminatory Content:

2.5 Commercial Misuse
You MUST NOT:

- Selling course access to others
- Redistributing educational materials
- Reselling certificates or degrees
- Operating business from our platform
- Soliciting funds or donations
- Multi-level marketing (MLM) schemes
Misrepresentation:
- False claims about what platform offers
- Misrepresenting your credentials
- Fake testimonials or reviews
- Fraudulent course descriptions
- Misleading marketing
- Deceptive enrollment practices
Resource Theft:
- Selling our content
- Using our brand without permission
- Copying course materials commercially
- Redistributing lectures or assignments

3. Account Security & Responsibility
3.1 Account Protection
You Are Responsible For:
Keeping Credentials Secure:
- Don't share your password with anyone
- Don't write your password where others can see
- Don't use simple or common passwords
- Use strong passwords (12+ characters, mixed case, numbers, symbols)
- Change password periodically (every 3–6 months)
- Don't reuse passwords across platforms
Using Secure Networks:
- Use private Wi-Fi when possible
- Avoid public Wi-Fi for sensitive transactions
- Don't use public Wi-Fi to change passwords
- Check for secure connection (HTTPS / lock icon)
- Use a VPN for additional security (if compatible)
Device Security:
- Keep devices updated with security patches
- Use antivirus software
- Don't access from compromised computers
- Enable device lock (PIN, biometric)
- Don't access from shared computers when possible
- Log out on shared devices
Activity Monitoring:
- Review login history regularly (if available)
- Check for unfamiliar activity
- Report suspicious logins immediately
- Update recovery information
- Keep contact information current
3.2 Account Responsibility
You accept full responsibility for:
- All activities under your account
- All messages posted under your account
- All assignments submitted
- All exams taken
- All transactions
- All data stored in your account
Even If:
- Someone else accessed your account
- Your account was compromised
- You forgot to log out
- You shared your password
Exception: If we can confirm unauthorized access, we may:
- Reset your password
- Investigate the breach
- Review disputed activities
- Take appropriate action
3.3 Account Termination
EduMitra may terminate your account if:
- You violate this Policy
- You violate the Student Code of Conduct
- You violate the Terms of Service
- You engage in illegal activity
- You create security risks
- You harass other users
- Your account is inactive (2+ years)
- At our discretion, for any reason as permitted by law
Before Termination: We typically provide a warning first, except for serious violations (illegal content, fraud, hacking).
Upon Termination:
- Account access is revoked immediately
- Data is retained per retention policy
- No refund for prepaid balance (unless required by law or separate agreement)
- Academic records remain with university
- Enrollment records retained to meet legal requirements

5. Communication Standards

- Respond within a reasonable timeframe (24–48 hours)
- Use appropriate salutations
- Proofread before sending
- Include relevant details (ID, course, context)
Don't:
- Use ALL CAPS (appears as shouting)
- Use excessive punctuation (!!!, ???)
- Use rude or dismissive tone
- Make personal attacks
- Send threats or intimidation
- Send demands or ultimatums
- Send spam or mass unsolicited messages
- Send repeated messages without giving time to respond
5.2 Discussion Forums
Participate respectfully:

- Include proof of concept (if safe and possible)
- Give us up to 90 days before any public disclosure
- Communicate respectfully and professionally
We Will:

- Work on a patch or mitigation
- Keep you updated on progress (where appropriate)
- Credit you (if you wish) in security advisory
- Consider fair compensation for serious vulnerabilities

- Enable two-factor authentication where available
- Keep software and devices updated
- Use antivirus or security software
- Verify HTTPS connection (secure padlock in browser)
- Don't click suspicious links
- Don't open attachments from unknown senders
- Report suspicious activity immediately
7. Bandwidth & Resource Usage
7.1 Reasonable Use
You should:
- Stream video at reasonable quality levels
- Download only what you need for courses
- Disconnect when not using the platform
- Avoid leaving connections idle excessively
- Minimize background activity
- Close applications when finished
You should NOT:
- Use the platform for file-sharing networks (BitTorrent, etc.)
- Mine cryptocurrency
- Run servers or hosting services
- Stream or download large quantities of non-course material
- Use the platform primarily for non-educational purposes
- Leave sessions open continuously
- Run automated scripts excessively
7.2 Data Storage
Storage limits (may vary by plan/program):
- Typical: 5–10 GB per user
- Course materials: Provided by platform
- User uploads: Count against your quota
- Multimedia: Usually streamed, not downloaded (unless permitted)
What to store:
- Course assignments and submissions
- Study notes
- Supporting documents needed for coursework
- Downloaded lectures (only if permitted)
What NOT to store:
- Pirated content
- Personal files unrelated to courses
- Movies or TV shows
- Large personal media libraries
- Backups of your entire device
- Commercial software not related to course work
8. Enforcement & Consequences
8.1 Violation Response
For non-serious violations (first offense):
- Warning email explaining the violation
- Request to remove or correct content (if applicable)
- Explanation of relevant policy
- Up to 7-day period to cure or correct issue
- If not corrected, escalation to further consequences
For moderate violations (repeat or intentional):
- Account warning or restrictions
- Temporary suspension (24 hours to 7 days)
- Required acknowledgment of policy
- Content removal
- Further violations may lead to termination
For serious violations (illegal, harmful, or malicious):
- Immediate account suspension
- Content removal and deletion

- Permanent account termination

- Limited account access during suspension
- May regain access by completing required steps (e.g., confirming policy)
- Restrictions may remain after restoration
- Repeated violations lead to longer suspensions
Permanent Termination (irreversible):
- Account deleted or permanently deactivated
- No access to your content
- No refund for prepaid fees (unless required by law or contract)
- Transcript and academic records remain with university
- You may not re-enroll under the same account
- We may block email/payment method from re-enrolling
8.3 Appeals
You may appeal if:
- Your account was suspended/terminated unfairly

- Due process wasn't followed
- Punishment is disproportionate
- New information has emerged

Services we integrate with may include:
